Sardinia offers white sandy beaches, turquoise clear waters and rugged, island landscape. But, another treasure to savor is its wines. The island’s granite soils produce Vermentino di Gallura, a pale straw-colored white wine that is bright, has a refreshing acidity, and aromas of green apple, citrus fruit, and ripe pear. Vermentino di Gallura is the only DOCG wine of Sardinia, the highest rank of the Italian classification system.

The Cannonau  grape (Grenache) is the most planted red variety. It thrives in the warm, gravely soils.

These wines pair exceptionally well with the island’s local seafood dishes, pecorino cheese and meats which you will savor during your stay.
